Why take this course?
Anyone working with electrical installations should understand the Wiring Regulations. The regulations book is not only vital reference material for Electricians, but is also useful to those working in associated roles connected with the electrical industry such as mechanical engineers, maintenance staff, technicians and project managers.
You will not be expected to memorise the entire book of regulations, but you should be able to understand the contents well enough to navigate the book and find relevant regulations to the situation at hand.
Is this the right course for me?
If you are planning a career in the Electrical Contracting industry, or in an electromechanical role, this course provides a relevant and widely recognised qualification.
This is a classroom theory based course which covers BS: 7671 – 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations. There is no practical element to this training.
This short course will not give you a deep understanding of electrical installation. If you wish to better understand the subject and be able to apply the knowledge gained from the regulations, we recommend booking our Domestic Electrical Installation (DEI) course.
Please note: The DEI course includes 18th Edition tuition so booking an additional stand-alone 18th Edition course is not necessary if choosing that option.
